Mr. Jeff Waltz, a founding partner of The Waltz Law Group, will speak at the 2015 Louisiana Claims Association Conference in New Orleans, Louisiana, June 25, 2015 on the topic 'Catch Me If You Can—Using Video Surveillance and Social Media to Combat Fraudulent Insurance Claims'. The presentation focuses on identifying potential sources of evidence through traditional and non-traditional video surveillance as well as an overview of the use of different social media platforms to gather evidence. The presentation will also focus on successful ways to use such evidence in handling a claim or in litigation. Lastly, Mr. Waltz will discuss evolving Louisiana case law concerning use of social media evidence.
Mr. Waltz focuses his practice on civil litigation, commercial litigation, workers compensation defense, insurance coverage analysis and insurance defense. He has significant experience in admiralty and maritime law, automobile liability litigation, first party and third party property damage claims, construction defect claims, and bad faith claims. He has also advised insurance clients on claims handling issues and reviewed and analyzed insurance policies and other documents in order to draft formal coverage assessments.

Mr. Waltz, a graduate of Louisiana State University and the Loyola University New Orleans School of Law, is a member of the Louisiana Claims Association, New Orleans Claims Association, and Risk Insurance Management Society. Mr. Waltz's practice focuses on civil litigation, commercial litigation, workers compensation defense, insurance coverage analysis and insurance defense. He has significant experience in admiralty and maritime law, automobile liability litigation, first party and third party property damage claims, construction defect claims, and bad faith claims. He also serves on the Board of Directors for Kingsley House, a local non-profit, which provides a host of nationally accredited and state certified programs from early childhood education to adult daycare services and beyond. He also serves on the Judiciary Committee for the Grand Council of Tau Kappa Epsilon (TKE) Fraternity.
